Why did we make this change?
We have been listening to feedback from merchants like you who wanted to ensure that we kept consumers on your site when interacting with Accrue and starting to save. Now, that’s possible.
Is this new widget only available on Product Detail Pages (PDPs)?
No, this widget can be live wherever Accrue Savings appears on your site, including in footers, headers, and landing pages. PDP placement remains the most popular way that users signup with Accrue! Please let us know if there are any additional placements where you would like to add this widget.
Are existing Savers for my brand able to use this widget to view their progress or make changes to their savings plan?
No, but our product team would love to hear from you if this is important to your company. In the meantime, Savers can manage their Wallet from their Accrue dashboard by visiting https://www.accruesavings.com/dashboard.
Will this change have any impact on existing Savers?
No. Since this improved widget is used only when a Saver first creates their savings plan, this update will not change the experience of existing Savers. If an existing saver decides to start another Wallet with Accrue — they will do so using this updated widget.
If a merchant already has Accrue’s widget embedded on their site, will they have to do anything to implement this improved widget?
If you already have Accrue’s widget on your site, you should not have to update the code to bring this improved widget experience to your customers.
In the future, we’ll likely want to work with you to switch the code snipped that’s used for improved performance. That is not a critical change that needs to take place immediately.
