We know that sometimes plans change. If you start saving for one thing and decide you don't want it anymore or there's something else you want to get first, you can transfer your money to another wallet or bank account to withdraw the funds. Here are some Frequently asked questions about transfers:
Where can I transfer my money to?
You can transfer all your deposits to a savings plan for a different merchant or your personal bank account.
Can I transfer my money back to my debit card?
You can withdraw your deposits anytime, but they must be transferred to your bank account via ACH payment.
Will my entire wallet balance be transferred?
You can choose the amount to transfer; this can be all or some of your deposits. If you have deposited over $1,000 and want to withdraw your deposits, this must be done in daily increments of less than $1,000 because our banking partner has a daily withdrawal limit.
Can I transfer the rewards I've earned?
Whenever you transfer money between wallets or to your bank, you can only transfer the deposits you have made. Your rewards will not be transferred to the new wallet.
What will happen to my rewards?
Any rewards earned for the deposits in the original wallet will be forfeited. If you transfer a portion of your deposits, the forfeited rewards will be prorated to the funds transferred.
Will I receive rewards in the wallet I transfer funds to?
Yes! You will receive rewards in the new wallet at the same rate as a regular deposit. The rewards are different amounts for each wallet; you can always check the reward you will earn for your new wallet by checking in on your dashboard.
Can I transfer some of the funds from one wallet to another?
Yes! Under most circumstances, when you transfer funds between wallets, you will be prompted to choose an amount to transfer. This can be as much as you would like up to the total amount of deposits you have made into that wallet.
The exception to this rule is if you still need to complete identity verification. If this is the case, you can only transfer the total deposit balance in a wallet. You can complete identity verification and then transfer partial amounts if you wish.
Will my savings rules transfer to my new wallet?
No, You must set new rules specific to your new wallet. If you need help, you can always visit: Ways to Fund Your account.
What if I want to continue to save after I transfer money?
When you transfer money from a wallet, your saving rules will continue as before. You can always change these rules or delete them entirely by following the steps in these guides: Adjusting your set and forget schedule and/or Adjusting round ups
Can I transfer money contributed by my friends and family?
Yes! All contributions are handled the same as your personal deposits.
